Welcoming Gina Holt as Springfield City Manager

Last month the Springfield Board of Mayor and Aldermen concluded their months long process of selecting a new city manager. Through our attendance at city meetings and our live tweeting of these meetings on our @RobCoAdvocate twitter account, the Chamber and our members have been interested observers of this process. We congratulate the board on the successful implementation of a thoughtful and open process with expert guidance from the Municipal Technical Advisory Service.

Good News from Our Schools...

There has been a lot of good news on the education front in Robertson County over the past few weeks. Fresh on the heels of the hiring of new Director of Schools Dr. Chris Causey, our school district is beginning to see real results from the work and programs put in place under director Mike Davis.

It's Taste of Country Week!

The big week is here!  Taste of Country USA happens this Saturday, September 16 from 10 am to 5 pm on the Court House Square in Springfield. From the Riding for Books Century Bike Ride and the Rooster Run 5K in the morning to the last strains of music from the Electrolux Main Stage and the final cheers from the Tailgate Zone, Taste of Country 2017 has something for everyone!

Taste of Country is Less Than Two Weeks Away!

With our Pep Rally on the Square and the eclipse behind us, it's time for the Chamber staff to focus our full attention on our biggest event of the year, Taste of Country USA. In less than two weeks, we will bring a full day of arts and crafts, music, food and family fun to the Court House Square in Springfield.
