The State of Our Schools

Each year for the past four, the Chamber has partnered with Robertson County Schools to bring our members and the community an update on the state of Robertson County's public education system.  Beginning in 2013 with former director Mike Davis, this informative lunch and learn session provides attendees a glimpse into the past year's accomplishments, a check-in on district scores, and a preview of new initiatives and plans for the system in the year ahead.

This year we will get our first chance to hear from new director Dr. Chris Causey as he shares his vision for our schools.  Joining him will be assistant director Stephanie Mason. While we have heard from both of these outstanding administrators before, this year will mark a shift as a new administration has taken the reins and it will be exciting to hear what Dr. Causey's focus and priorities will be.

Chamber Lunch and Learns, sponsored annually by our friends at NovaCopy, are a great chance for members to get a more in depth look into topics that are important to our community and to their businesses and organizations. While our monthly membership meeting, Good Morning Robertson County, features a fast paced overview of Chamber and community activity, Lunch and Learn is a more relaxed environment.

The event begins with lunch served at 11:30 am and attendees are free to arrive any time up until noon when the program begins. Programs always include a time for questions and answers, offering an opportunity for a deep dive into the topic and one-on-one feedback.

The "State of Our Schools" Lunch and Learn will take place on Thursday, October 26 from 11:30 am - 1:00 pm at Stokes Brown Public Library. Lunch will be catered by 24 Catering/Cupcakes 24.  Registration is available to all interested, regardless of your Chamber affiliation.  The cost of lunch and the program is $10 for members and $12 for non-member guests. RSVP by close of business on Monday, October 23, by calling the Chamber at 384-3800 or online at

Mark your calendar and make plans to join us for this important opportunity to be informed on our public education system. Great things are happening in Robertson County Schools and we want to spread the news!
