REdI Parent Survey Offers A Chance for Parent Input Into Your Child's Education
Do you have a child in Robertson County schools in grades Pre K - 5? If so, we hope you will participate in this year's parent survey, conducted by the Robertson Education Initiative (REdI) in cooperation with Robertson County Schools. This survey is your opportunity as a parent or guardian to give feedback on your satisfaction with the educational opportunities afforded your student in Robertson County.
The survey covers a wide variety of topics from facilities to discipline and transportation to technology. Parents are asked to complete a survey for each child enrolled in grades Pre- K thru 5th in Robertson County Schools. The surveys are most easily completed on line. A link to the survey has been sent home with your student and is also available on REdI's FaceBook page as well as on the home page of this website, www.robertsonchamber.org.
If you do not have ready access to the internet, computer access is available at your child’s school (inquire in the office), the Stokes Brown Public Library in Springfield and the Chamber. If you cannot complete the survey online, you may complete a paper copy and return it to your child’s school. If you prefer, the completed survey may be mailed, faxed or dropped by the Chamber of Commerce, 503 West Court Square in Springfield (fax (615) 384-1260). The survey is available for completion on line through Friday, April 21.
As an added incentive for students to get these surveys completed by their parents, the school with the highest percentage of returned surveys will be awarded $500!
After the survey period is complete, REdI staff and volunteers will compile the results and make a presentation to the Robertson County School Board in May. Individual school results will be distributed to school principals. The results of the survey are used to develop school improvement plans and to inform the Board of Education on areas of strength and needs for improvement in our public schools.
As a parent or guardian of children in our public schools, your feedback is important and valued. The information gathered has proven to be very valuable to our school system as it works to improve the quality of education for all of our students. Additionally, the responses inform REdI as to what areas of our educational system are of most concern to our citizens and help us to target our programs and initiatives. Make sure your voice is heard…education is a critical component of our community’s continued economic prosperity and quality of life.
