Youth Leadership

Youth Leadership Robertson County is an annual program which competitively chooses students from each of our five public high schools and home schools to participate in a year of sessions patterned after the adult program. The youth leadership project is a joint effort the chamber, the Robertson Education Initiative (REdI) and the Robertson County UT-Extension Office.

The program in large part is funded by Realizing Robertson's Future investors, however, there is a $25 program fee that helps pay for shirts and lunches for 10 sessions.  These student leaders get together once a month to learn about these aspects of Robertson County:

Orientation
Agriculture
Healthcare
Large Industry
State Government
Local Government
Education
History

The Youth Leadership class also develops a service project each year to do together to make a difference in our community!

Selection is competitive. Sessions begin in September of each academic year and applications are due to the Chamber of Commerce early-mid August each year.

100% attendance is mandatory.
