Youth Leadership

Youth Leadership Robertson County is a nine-month program designed to develop and encourage Robertson County Juniors to take an active leadership role in the future of our community.  Class sessions begin in September each year and are held one full day each month through May.  Each session covers a different critical topic such as Health Care, Education, Local & State Government, Agriculture, Tourism, History and Industry. Each class is also asked to design and implement a class project. Youth Leadership is a partnership between The Robertson County Chamber of Commerce and The Robertson County UT Extension Office.

There is a $25 program fee that helps pay for shirts and lunches.

Youth Leadership participants committ to serving 8 hours of community service during special events and programs through The Robertson County Chamber of Commerce or the Robertson County UT Extension Office.

Selection is competitive and only 2-3 students are chosen from each school. Sessions begin in September of each academic year and applications are due to the Chamber of Commerce by August 8, 2017.

Attendance is mandantory, Youth Leadership is a Robertson County Board of Education approved event.
